About the Company
Hello my name is Ryan Mullen, I am the founder and chief photographer of Guardrail Photography. I specialize in a variety of picture genres and provide exceptional wedding, portrait and event photography services. I began professionally taking photos in 2007 when I traveled across these great United States of America after my college graduation.My adventure left me with a number of life experiences, lessons learned and about 200 absolutely incredible photos. Many of the photos from my cross country trip purposefully included a guardrail. I found it was a unique but appropriate perspective from which to document a journey. Documenting my trip and our country in all its glory further developed my love for photagraphy. I wanted to capture the beauty in the lives of those around me and artistically share that with them. Shortly thereafter the idea of Guardrail Photography was born. Although it took a couple years to get up and running, it's finally here! Today I concentrate primarily on the photographic and editing aspects of the business while my wonderful wife Emily conducts the business coordination and marketing. Without her the business would fall apart around the me as I stare through my camera saying "What was that noise?" Through my work I've learned a picture can elicit a smile, a laugh, or even a tear and that is OK; in fact it is great! Witnessing my work evoke emotion is a wonderful experience. I hope that when you view my work, it fills you with emotion, or with awe and if I am truly lucky, it will inspire you to pause and embrace the beauty of the world around you on a daily basis.
